GVFSC Community Chipping Program
The Green Valley Fire Safe Council (GVFSC) is pleased to provide a Community Chipping program to help residents reduce fuels and enhance wildfire survivability. This program is intended to help residents reduce wildfire risk and create defensible zones through the removal of ladder fuels and thinning dense vegetation. The program is limited to residents in Upper Green Valley and the Highlands due to limited funds at this time. GVSFC will continue to seek funding opportunities to expand the program and reduce wildfire risks in our neighborhoods. If you do not live in these areas but are interested in future opportunities or staying informed of our activities, then please complete this form and we will add you to our distribution list. **The Chipping Program is being funded with a small grant from the California Fire Foundation. The program will be available until funds have been expended.
Participants must register at least 48 hours prior to chipping date and follow pile guidelines in order to guarantee free chipping (see program flyer below for pile guidelines). The link to register is at the bottom of this page.

Neighborhoods and Dates
January 11th 2021 – Green Valley Highlands and Upper Green Valley
Piles must be stacked curbside by 8:00 a.m. Monday morning on January 11th, 2021. The crew will chip and remove the piles sometime during that week.
Past Programs: Week of December 14th 2020.
